The clerks were recognised as “exceptional”, as well as “responsive, commercial and supremely well organised”, with mention of Senior Clerk, Michelle Greene and Senior Practice Manager Nathan Hitchman, leading our “quick, efficient and effective” clerking team.

Highlights include:

  • Mark HubbardAidan BriggsDr Sarah Egan and Jeff Hardman who all move up in their rankings;
  • New entries in the guide for James McKean and Stuart Armstrong, who are ranked for the first time;
  • Recognised as Tier 1 in all 6 practice area listings at the Regional Bar;
  • This year also sees 3 new practice area rankings for Chambers, including Will Hopkin for Charities; and for the Western Circuit, Will is newly recognised for Commercial Litigation, as well as Amy Berry for Chancery, Probate and Tax.

We are proud to be recognised for the forthcoming year and congratulate all members for their continued success. In particular, the individual rankings of our members and recommendations of the set as a whole, truly highlight the breadth of our expertise across all practice areas.

“New Square Chambers is one of the top chambers for contentious trusts and probate work. It has a fantastic mix of barristers at all levels. Availability of counsel is very good, although mostly on the junior end because their more established barristers are in such high demand.”

“New Square Chambers has fantastic collection of experienced private client practitioners.”

“New Square Chambers is proactive and are stealing a march on some of the more traditional chancery sets with ease of interaction, willingness to provide added value and in speed of response.”

“We have always found dealing with New Square Chambers easy and hassle-free. The clerks are engaging and helpful and the set has a particular strength in property litigation. Our perception is that their set is dynamic and forward thinking in their approach to client care and PR.”
