Overview
Lynton Tucker is one of the leading Chancery Juniors in the UK. He has twice been awarded the accolade of ‘Leading Junior of the Year’ by the Legal 500 Bar Awards, 2020 and 2021. Lynton’s unrivalled knowledge of trusts law and long experience makes him the equal of any silk in the field.
His practice is largely in the field of trusts, wills and estates. He advises on and litigates in the areas of family, charitable, pension, commercial, unit and employee trusts.
Lynton advises on the effect of UK taxation on UK and overseas trusts and estates and other aspects of inheritance and capital gains tax.
Lynton also advises and litigates in company law matters, particularly in the field of unfair prejudice claims, the duties of directors and protection of minority shareholders.
A substantial part of his practice is offshore and concerns trusts, estates and companies in the Channel Islands, BVI, Cayman Islands, Bahamas and Hong Kong.

Offshore & International
A substantial part of Lynton’s practice involves contentious and non-contentious work and concerns offshore trusts, estates, and offshore companies, principally in the Channel Islands, Cayman Islands, BVI, Hong Kong and The Bahamas. Lynton’s advice to the Jersey Trust Law Working Party on proposals for legislative reform of the rule in Hastings-Bass, resulted in an amendment in 2013 to the Trusts (Jersey) Law 1984 implementing the reform proposed by him.
Lynton acted over a four year period in the long running huge Jersey trust litigation case of Alhamrani v Alhamrani. The trial began in November 2008, lasted 101 days and settled in July 2009. Since then he has appeared in the BVI Commercial Court and the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal in 2013. The case went on to appeal to the Privy Council in July 2014. Various ongoing related matters are continuing in numerous jurisdictions.
