Public Rights Over Land Conference 2022

New Square Chambers return again for their annual conference dealing with all matters connected to public rights of way, common land and village greens.

There will be a case law update bringing delegates up to date with developments in the area:

  • Garland (Public nuisance and dedication: implications of the Garland case)
  • Blackbushe Airport (de-registration of common land – meaning of “curtilage” – latest developments in the ongoing saga)
  • Rollright (diversion of footpaths under s. 119 HA 1980 – factors to be taken into account – latest developments and where we are now)

Speakers will be unpacking issues relating to “public rights of way, village greens and statutory incompatibility” and addressing the law relating to controversial uses of land accessible to the public.
