Reviewed as a “very strong set for contentious trust and probate work”; Chambers achieved a total of 7 rankings, with one of the top band rankings in ‘Chancery: Traditional’ and recognition for 6 of our barristers achieving rankings in the top bands.

The clerks were also praised in the guide as “fantastic”, “friendly” and for setting “a very high standard for responsiveness and helpfulness.” Moreover, they were commended as being “commercial and supremely well organised”; with mention of Michelle Greene who “shines as the Senior Clerk” and additional remarks for Charlie Sherwood and Nathan Hitchman who are described as “excellent”, “responsive, helpful, approachable and knowledgeable.”

Chambers are proud to be recognised in the guide for the forthcoming year and congratulate all members for their continued success. We are also extremely grateful to our clients and colleagues for their continued support and valuable feedback as well as Chambers and Partners for the time dedicated to their rigorous research process. We are appreciative of our members, clerks and staff for their hard work and dedication. Our clerking team were also reviewed as “efficient”, “proactive” and “very responsive”.

The strong team of silks and juniors at New Square Chambers regularly handles a wide array of traditional chancery matters, including trusts, wills, estates and probate matters. Members also often appear in front of the Court of Appeal, such as in the da Silva v Heselton case, which provided authority on when trustees are entitled to be paid for their time.

“They have diverse and able juniors that can assist on all matters, whilst the more experienced counsel can ensure that all matters can be dealt with.”

Chambers take immense pride in our recognition within the High Net Worth 2023 guide and extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our members for their achievements. Our gratitude knows no bounds as we thank our esteemed clients and colleagues for their unwavering support and invaluable feedback. We are also deeply appreciative of the time and effort dedicated by Chambers and Partners to conduct their rigorous research process.
