New Square Chambers welcomes new member, John Campbell
New Square Chambers is thrilled to announce the addition of John Campbell to our team. With a focus on Property, Trusts, Wills & Estates, and Commercial Litigation, John brings a wealth of expertise to New Square. He handles intricate and high-value disputes in the High Court, County Court and Property Tribunals. We are excited to have him on board and look forward to the valuable contributions he will make to the set.
Ranked as a Leading Junior within Property and Construction and Commercial Dispute Resolution, John is recognised in both the Legal 500 UK Bar and Chambers & Partners UK Bar guides respectively; for “his ability to relate to the client without compromising on advice” and as “very helpful, friendly and bright. His attention to detail and clarity of advice makes him stand out.”
Practice area: Property; Trusts, Wills & Estates, Commercial Litigation
Since joining the Bar in 2008, John has developed an impressive practice with a diverse client base, including companies, private individuals and government departments, having been appointed to the Attorney General’s Regional Panel of Counsel in 2020.
John deals with a range of commercial disputes and is sensitive to the wider business implications of litigation. From successfully defending a £5m claim for destruction of business on behalf of a household name in the retail industry, to resolving farmland disputes, together with his wills and probate practice, John’s experience dovetails with several of Chambers’ practice areas.
Michelle Greene, Senior Clerk says:
“We are delighted to welcome John Campbell to the team. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a broad practice. His extensive experience will help bolster Chambers’ offering. We look forward to working with him.”
On joining New Square Chambers, John Campbell says:
“I am very excited about the prospect of joining such a well-respected and forward looking commercial chancery set. Its reputation in private client and property/real estate work is of the very highest order and I hope to be able to add real value to the set’s already impressive offering.”
