Nicholas Le Poidevin KC, the Head of Chambers, reflects on Kerry’s tenure:
“Older members of chambers will remember Kerry’s arrival soon after the merger of nos. 1 and 12 New Square nearly quarter of a century ago. He is probably unaware of the extremely well-qualified competition he beat off. Since then he has been a calm and cheerful presence in chambers, absorbing a multitude of tasks and doing all of them punctually and efficiently. We have come to take it for granted that chambers administration proceeds smoothly but it does not do so on its own. He has given us the whole of the latter part of his working life and we are hugely grateful for the contribution he has made. Now a well-earned retirement beckons and may he enjoy it to the full.”
New Square Chambers would like to wish Kerry McLean a fulfilling and joyful retirement ahead.
The announcement of the new Chambers Manager, who will succeed Kerry, will be made shortly.
