Facts: Judgment is handed down today from the High Court in Lattimer v Karamanoli [2023] EWHC 1524 (Ch). James McKean appeared for the defendant in this strike-out application concerning a £10 million estate.

The primary question was whether a will made on 27 December 2018 was revoked by a marriage the day after. The case raises issues of construction and rectification of wills and the extent to which a marriage can be challenged after death. The defendant’s claim to construe or rectify the will such that it was made in contemplation of marriage will proceed to trial.
