  • Overview

George joined Chambers as a pupil in October 2025 and is currently supervised by Aidan Briggs. During pupillage, he has worked on complex trusts and estates, company and insolvency disputes, gaining experience of mediation and international arbitration.

George brings a flexible approach informed by exposure to a broad range of legal issues. Prior to pupillage, he spent a year as a Judicial Assistant at the Court of Appeal, principally with Lord Justice Nugee. He dealt with over fifty appeals and permission-to-appeal applications covering fiduciary duties, civil fraud and financial, land, tax and private international law.

George has also assisted in the editing of major publications, including Megarry & Wade: The Law of Real Property and Goff & Jones on Unjust Enrichment. As part of the Law Commission’s Property and Trusts team, he supported the passage of the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024 and co-drafted a consultation paper chapter on the renewal of business tenancies.

At university, George won the 2019 UCL-KCL Moot and competed in the Grand Final of the UCL Law Society’s Senior Moot, where he appeared before Lord Leggatt. Alongside his studies, he completed his DALF C2 (Proficiency) certification in French and represented UCL in intervarsity sport.
