  • Overview

    George joined Chambers as a pupil in October 2025. Sitting with Aidan Briggs and Roger Laville, he has gained experience across complex trusts and estates, property, finance, company, insolvency and commercial disputes. In addition to assisting with a wide range of hearings, George has drafted statements of case and numerous opinions.

    Before joining Chambers, George was a Judicial Assistant to Nugee and Fraser LJJ at the Court of Appeal, where he worked on significant appeals including Clapham v Narga [2025] 2 WLR 413 (boundary disputes and adverse possession), Carvill-Biggs v Reading [2026] 1 All ER (Comm) 246 (administrator’s right to possession of land) and Triathlon Homes LLP v Stratford Village Development Partnership [2026] 1 All ER 574 (remediation contribution orders).

    George has also worked as a research assistant on the Law Commission’s projects on commercial and residential leases and on the latest editions of Megarry & Wade: The Law of Real Property (unregistered conveyancing and land registration) and Goff & Jones on Unjust Enrichment (failure of basis and free acceptance).
